SUMMARY:Planning for People Streets Study
DESCRIPTION:
Come learn about the City’s Planning for People Streets Study. The State of Oregon requires cities with over 100,000 people, like Bend, to allow for “low-car districts” (people streets) in all mixed-use and residential areas the next time those cities update their Transportation System Plan. Bend’s updated Transportation Plan will be completed by 2027.

People Streets are designed for people to walk, bike, and roll. To support this, car traffic may be slowed down, reduced, or restricted. We’d love to discuss people street ideas with Downtown businesses – your input will help inform future policy considerations regarding people streets which will weigh impacts to businesses and community benefits.

In addition, the City will be hosting a larger conversation on with Downtown stakeholders after the holidays on additional Downtown topics such as parking, special events, the Brooks Street/North Mirror Pond Lot, the Economic Improvement District (EID), and more.

Attend virtually: https://bendoregon-gov.zoom.us/j/89579848458?pwd=p7aPG54aATUkWYCsgqhr1BHl2EzPNf.1

More details
